Title: Terrye Newkirks: Real Tortilla Chips
Categories: Diabetic Snack
Yield: 1 Serving
CHIPS | ||
2 | Tortillas; cut in quarters
Cooking spray | ||
Salt to taste | ||
1 | oz | To 2 oz cheese; (low-fat) |
GARNISH | ||
Onions, lettuce, tomatoes,
Jalapnos, etc. |
Just cut a couple of tortillas in quarters and spread on a cookie sheet. Bake at about 300 until their crisp. (I like them slightly browned.) They're old-style, REAL tortilla chips, not the flimsy ones. If you like them salted, spray with a little Pam before you bake them and sprinkle with salt. With an ounce or two of grated cheese and LOTS of Pace's, these make pretty good nachos. (Onions, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, etc., are all good, too.) :)
