1 Vidalia onion per person*
1tbButter per onion
  Salt and pepper

*Or any sweet, yellow onion, peeled

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place each onion on a square of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Add butter, season generously and wrap tightly. Bake for 1 hour. Onions may be also be cooked, wrapped in foil, on a hot grill for 30 to 45 minutes, or until soft. Turn frequently.
