Categories: Breadmaker Bread
Yield: 1 1/2lb loaf
2/3 | c | Old-fashioned rolled oats |
1 1/8 | c | Milk or buttermilk |
1/2 | c | Lemon curd |
3 | c | Bread flour |
1 1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 1/2 | tb | Butter or margarine |
2 | ts | Active dry yeast. |
1 | tb | Poppy seed |
This sweet/sour moist bread has a bright fresh taste and smells marvelous even when it's kneading. Lemon Curd can be found in either the jam/jelly section of your store or with the gourmet/imported foods. This is great toasted. If you are watching the "Fat" in your cooking, you can use applesauce in place of the butter/margarine.
1. Place the ingredients in the bread pan, insert it into the machine, select a light crust setting and press start. 2. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack, and allow to cool for 1 hour before slicing. ( I can never wait!!smile)
