Title: Shrimp Teriyaki

1/2cSoy sauce
2tbVegetable oil
2tbMirin or sweet vermouth
2tbFinely chopped green onion
1tbBrown sugar
2tsMinced or grated fresh ginger
1tsMinced or pressed garlic
  Black pepper
1 1/4lbMedium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1smGreen pepper, cut in 1" pieces
1/2smRed onion, cut in 1" pieces

In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, oil, mirin, green onion, brown sugar, ginger, garlic and pepper. Add shrimp and stir to coat evenly. Let sit in refrigerator about 20 minutes. Preheat broiler or charcoal grill. Take shrimp from marinade and thread on skewers, alternating with green pepper and onion. Broil or grill skewers about 3" from heat until pink, about 2 minutes. Turn skewers, spoon more marinade over and continue cooking until shrimp are opaque through, 2 to 3 minutes longer.
