Title: Apple Porridge (Omenapuuro)

Yield: 4 Servings

1/3cUncooked rice
4cWater
1/2lbDried apples, softened chopped
  OR
1lbFresh apples, chopped
1/4cSugar
1mdCinnamon stick
GARNISH
1mdLemon, rind of, thinly peeled
  Cream

Cook rice in the water until it tests half done. Peel and chop apple, add apples, sugar, cinnamon and lemon rind to the rice mixture.

Cook covered, over lowest possible heat, stirring frequently, until the rice is totally tender.

Time will depend on type of rice used.

Chill and serve cold with additional sugar and cream.
