Title: Soft Dog Cookies
Categories: Pets
Yield: 1 Servings
3 | | Jars strained beef baby food (2 1/2-ounce) |
1/4 | c | Non-fat dry milk powder |
1/4 | c | Wheat germ |
Combine baby food, milk and wheat germ in a bowl. Mix well with a fork.
Roll mixture into 24 small balls; place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten
balls with fork. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven 15 minutes, or until
cookies are brown. Remove from cookie sheet; let cool on wire rack. Store
in covered container in refrigerator. Yield: 24 treats. For cat cookies:
Use two (3 1/2-ounce) cans sardines instead of baby food. Tester's note:
Definitely something to howl about! Cookies are soft and chewy (good for
older pets who have lost a few teeth). And they can be whipped up in no
time. St. Louis Post-Dispatch, December 17, 1990
