Title: Chamomile Skin Freshener
Categories: Astringent *
Yield: 16 Ounces

3 Chamomile tea bags ( use tea bags made with 100% chamomile f
2cBoiling water
1 To 2 drops tincture of benzoin

Chamomile flowers are popular and are used in many products because the blossoms soothe inflamed skin and help stop dehydration. Dried chamomile flowers work equally well in this recipe and can be purchased in bulk at many natural food stores. Substitue one tablespoon chamomile flowers for each tea bag.

Pour the boiling water over the tea bags in a ceramic heat-resistant bowl. Allow the tea bags to steep for several hours, until the mixture has cooled completely. Add the tincture of benzoin and stir thoroughly.

Bottle the chamomile water and enjoy. You may apply using a clean cotton ball, or use a sray bottle and spray your skin and hair.
