4	tb	Sugar
2	tb	Cocoa powder
1/2	ts	Ground cinnamon
1/2	ts	Ground nutmeg
1/2	c	Hot water
1	ts	Vanilla
4	c	Hot milk
		Whipped cream

In a heavy pitcher, mix sugar, cocoa, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add hot water and stir to a smooth paste. Add vanilla and hot milk and stir until well blended. Pour into cups. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkling of cocoa or chocolate shavings.
