1/2 | c | Butter, softened |
1 1/3 | c | Sugar |
2 | Eggs | |
1 | ts | Vanilla |
1/2 | ts | Almond extract |
2 | c | All-purpose flour |
1/2 | ts | Baking powder |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
1/3 | c | Dairy sour cream |
1 | c | Raisins |
Heat oven to 325F. Grease and flour a 6-cup fluted tube pan. [to make a loaf cake, use a 8 1/2 x4 1/2" loaf pan. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes]
Combine butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract; beat until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Stir in raisins. Spoon batter into greased and floured pan. Bake at 325F in center of oven for about 60-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
