6 | sm | Catfish; cleaned and dressed |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Pepper |
2 | c | Cornmeal, self-rising |
Vegetable oil |
Sprinkle catfish with salt and pepper. Place cornmeal in a paper bag; drop in catfish, one at a time, and shake until coated. Fry in deep hot oil (375) until golden brown; drain well. Serve hot.
