1 | c | Olive oil |
4 | tb | Pine nuts |
4 | Garlic cloves | |
1/2 | c | Parmesan cheese; grated or |
1/2 | c | Vegan parmesan substitute |
3 | tb | Romano cheese; grated |
To make filling: Blend basil, oil, nuts and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes in a blender or food processor.
Add cheese and blend until smooth, about one minute.
Fill and cook tamales according to "Tamales: Basic Procedure".
