2 | c | Yellow cornmeal |
1 | c | Flour |
3 | tb | Vegetable oil |
2 | | Egg |
1 1/2 | c | Milk |
1 1/2 | ts | Salt |
2 | tb | Sugar |
1 | tb | Baking powder |
Measure dry ingredients and stir. Add milk, mix well.
Add eggs, beat >> thoroughly. Stir in oil, beat aagain until well
blended. Melt Crisco in heated cast iron skillet (mine measures about 9
inches across the bottom). Pour the batter into the hot pan. Bake in a 400
degree F. oven about 40 minutes, until top is lightly brown. ANN PUCKETT
