1 | lb | Ground beef |
1 | | Onion, grated |
1 | | Egg, beaten |
1/2 | ts | Ground cinnamon |
1/2 | ts | Ground allspice |
1 | ts | Salt |
| | Ground black pepper |
1 | tb | Parsley, fresh, chopped |
Mix together the ingredients in a bowl, then knead with your hands or blend
in a food processor to make a very smooth mixture. Divide the mixture into
10 equal portions. With wet hands, shape the mixture into sausage lengths
around greased skewers, allowing two portions per skewer. Grill or
barbecue, turning once until the kofta are well browned. Serve like a
sandwich in pita bread or with plain rice and salad.
