1 | lb | Sausage meat |
1 | | Onion; chopped |
1/4 | ts | Pepper |
1 | | Garlic clove; chopped |
3 | c | Macaroni; cooked |
1 | c | Mushrooms; drained |
1 | c | Cottage cheese |
1/4 | ts | Oregano |
1/4 | c | Spaghetti sauce |
1/4 | ts | Basil |
1/4 | ts | Garlic powder |
1/4 | ts | Dry mustard |
| | Breadcrumbs (opt) |
| | Grated cheese |
Preheat oven to 350F. Saute sausage meat till light brown. Drain fat,
separate meat with fork, set aside. Saute onion, garlic & mushrooms. Add
sausage meat, spices. Stir in sauce. Add macaroni & stir. Arrange alternate
layers of macaroni-meat mixture and cottage cheese; ending with meat. Top
with bread crumbs & cheese if desired. Bake at 350F for 25-30 min. SERVES:4
