2 | c | Rice; instant, uncooked |
1/2 | c | Bell peppers; chopped |
1/2 | c | Onions, chopped |
16 | oz | Tomatoes; canned |
4 | oz | Mushrooms, sliced |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Pepper |
1/4 | ts | Basil leaves |
1. Brown sausage links in a skillet; remove sausage and set aside. 2. Add
rice to drippings; cook 5 minutes, or until rice is golden. 3. Add green
pepper and onion; cook until tender. 4. Pour off drippings; add tomatoes,
mushrooms, salt, pepper and basil to rice mixture. 5. Pour mixture into a
2-quart casserole; arrange sausage links over rice. 6. Bake in preheated
350'F. oven 45 minutes. 7. Remove cover; continue baking 10 minutes longer.
