Title: Mexican Filled Tostadas

12 | | Crisp fried tortillas corn or flour |
1 | lb | Ground beef |
2 | | Cloves garlic; minced |
2 | tb | Vegetable oil |
3 | tb | Flour |
2 | tb | Chile powder (or to taste) |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Pepper |
2 | c | Water |
3 | md | Onions; chopped |
2 | lg | Tomatoes; chopped |
1 | c | Shredded sharp cheese |
Brown beef and garlic in hot oil. Sprinkle with flour, chile powder, salt
and pepper. Add water; bring to boil. Simmer uncovered, stirring
occasionally, for 20 minutes. Warm tortillas in 300 degree F oven. Dived
beef mixture to fill tortillas. Top with onion, tomatoes and shredded
cheese. Serves 4.
