Title: Salad Boat Sandwich

1 | Italian bread loaf, unsliced | |
4 | Hard cooked eggs, diced | |
1 | c | Cooked shrimp; chopped* |
1 | c | Diced celery |
2 | tb | Chopped dill pickle |
2 | tb | Chopped stuffed olives |
1 | tb | Onion, minced |
1/2 | ts | Garlic salt |
1/4 | ts | Dry mustard |
1/2 | c | Mayonnaise |
2 | tb | Melted butter |
NOTE: Chicken, ham or tuna can replace the shrimp.
Cut off top of loaf of bread, hollow out leaving a one inch thick shell.
Measure one cup bread crumbs from center of the loaf and combine with remaining ingredients (except butter). Spoon lightly into the loaf; replace top.
Brush entire loaf with the melted butter and wrap in aluminum foil. Bake in 450 degree preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Cut into six thick slices and serve at once.
