Title: Oatmeal Bread Wreaths

2 | c | Water |
1 | c | Oats |
6 | c | Flour |
1/2 | c | Milk, powdered |
2 1/2 | ts | Salt |
2 | tb | Yeast |
1/3 | c | Water; warm |
1/3 | c | Molasses |
1/4 | c | Oil |
Vegetable cooking spray |
In medium saucepan, bring water to boil. Remove from heat; stir in oats. Cool to room temperature.
In large bowl, combine flour, powdered milk, and salt. In small bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add oats mixture, yeast mixture, molasses, and oil to dry ingredients. Stir until soft dough forms. Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead until dough becomes smooth and elastic. Place in large bowl sprayed with cooking spray, turning once to coat top of dough. Cover and let rise in warm place (80-85 F) 1 hour, until doubled in size.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and punch down. Divide dough into one part for each loaf. Shape each piece into ball, make hole in center, and place in greased 9" or 10" tube pan. Spray top of dough with cooking spray, cover, and let rise in warm place 1 hour, until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake 25-30 minutes, until bread sounds hollow when tapped. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
