Title: Apple Crumb Squares

Yield: 24 Servings
2 | c | Oats; uncooked |
1 1/2 | c | All-purpose flour |
3/4 | c | Margarine;, melted |
1 | c | Brown sugar; frimly packed |
1 | ts | Cinnamon |
1/2 | ts | Salt; (optional) |
1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
1/4 | ts | Ground nutmeg |
1 | c | Applesauce |
1/2 | c | Chopped nuts |
Heat oven to 375* F. Grease 13x9-inch baking pan. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT applesauce and nuts; mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup mixture. Press remaining mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes; cool. Spread applesauce over partially baked crust; sprinkle with nuts. Top with resevered 1 cup oat mixture. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack; cut into 2-inch squares.
