Title: Fresh Apple Butter Cake

1 1/2tsBaking soda
1/2tsSalt
1tsCinnamon
1/8tsNutmeg
2tsVanilla
3cMacintosh apples; diced
2cWalnuts; chopped
  Glaze-
1 1/2cSugar
1/2cSherry

Cream butter and sugar well; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition; sift flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together; gradually add to butter mixture; stir in vanilla; fold in apples and walnuts; pour into a greased 10-inch tube pan and bake in a preheated, 325~ oven for approximately 1 1/2 hours; cool; drizzle sherry glaze over cake and serve. Sherry Glaze. Combine sugar and sherry in a heavy saucepan; cook, stirring constantly, until syrupy, about 2 minutes. Chuck in Pok.
