Title: Beef Montparnasse

Yield: 6 Servings
2 | lb | Round steak; in serv. size pieces |
2 | tb | Shortening |
2 | sl | Bacon; crumbled |
6 | sm | White onions |
6 | New potatoes peeled | |
2 | cn | Mushrooms; with liquid, <3 |
; oz. cans> | ||
1/2 | c | Dry white wine |
1 | tb | Minced parsley |
2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Pepper |
1 | Bay leaf |
Heat pressure cooker. Add shortening; brown steak. Add remaining ingredients. Close cover securely. Place pressure regulator on vent pipe. Cook for 15 minutes (I think maybe this was a little too long. . . either that or my pressure cooker just took to long to get up to pressure). Let pressure drop of its own accord. Remove bay leaf. Thicken gravy, if desired.
