Title: Chaing Mai Satay

Yield: 2 Servings

2 Cloves garlic; to 3
1/2cCoconut milk
1/3tsGround turmeric
1tbGranulated sugar; to 2
  Or
  Coconut (palm) sugar
2tbFish sauce; to 3
1tsRed curry paste
8ozThinly sliced beef or chicken breast
  Bottled satay sauce
  Bamboo skewers

In blender, puree garlic, coconut milk, turmeric, sugar, fish sauce and red curry paste. Skewer meat and place in shallow dish. Pour marinade over meat and refrigerate 4 - 6 hours or overnight. Broil, basting frequently with marinade. Use satay sauce on the side for dipping.
