2 | Cloves garlic; to 3 | |
1/2 | c | Coconut milk |
1/3 | ts | Ground turmeric |
1 | tb | Granulated sugar; to 2 |

Coconut (palm) sugar | ||
2 | tb | Fish sauce; to 3 |
1 | ts | Red curry paste |
8 | oz | Thinly sliced beef or chicken breast |
Bottled satay sauce | ||
Bamboo skewers |
In blender, puree garlic, coconut milk, turmeric, sugar, fish sauce and red curry paste. Skewer meat and place in shallow dish. Pour marinade over meat and refrigerate 4 - 6 hours or overnight. Broil, basting frequently with marinade. Use satay sauce on the side for dipping.
