Title: Mom's Plain Pound Cake

Yield: 8 Servings

1lbButter; room temp
1lbPowdered sugar
6lgIsland eggs
3cCake flour; Mom used Swan's Down

Cream butter with sugar, beating it until it's very light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour, mixing only until smooth. Bake at 325 degrees F in a 10" tube pan. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Cool cake for 1/2 hour in pan. Turn out on rack and finish cooling. Serve with a scoop of your favorite ice cream or just as is. Delicious!
