Title: Spam Musubi
Categories: Spam Blank
Yield: 1 Servings
Cooked rice | ||
Umi; (pickled plum) | ||
Spam | ||
Nori; (seaweed) |
Make musubi as usual, except make them oblong (Spam shape). Slice Spam and fry until brown. Cut nori into strips 2 to 3" wide and long enough to go around the musubi. Place a piece of spam on top and wrap nori around it.
NOTE Haoles, you must use Calrose rice, not minute rice. Helpful Hint for making Spam shaped musubi from the wisdom of Billy Apele: Save your Spam can, pat the rice in the can (be careful of the sharp edges) and dump it out.
