Title: Chocolate Crinkles

2 | c | All-purpose Flour |
2 | tb | All-purpose Flour |
2 | ts | Baking powder |
1 | ts | Ground cinnamon |
1/2 | c | Butter, room temperature |
1 3/4 | c | Granulated sugar |
3 | lg | Eggs |
1 | ts | Vanilla extract |
4 | oz | Unsweetened chocolate/melted |
1/2 | c | Confectioner's sugar |
1. Mix flour, baking powder and cinnamon.
2. Beat butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in eggs until mixture is pale. Beat in vanilla and chocolaate until blended. With mixer on low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture just until blended. Refrigerate dough about 1 hour or until firm enough to handle.
3. Heat oven to 350øF. Lightly grease cookie sheet(s).
4. Shape heaping teaspoonfuls dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in confectioner's sugar. Place 1 1/2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheet(s).
5. Bake about 12 minute until tops are puffed and craackled. (Do not overbake.) Cookies are soft when hot but firm and chewy when cool. Remove to wire rack to cool. Store airtight up to 2 weeks or freeze.
Prep: 30 min. Chill: 1 hr. Bake: 12 min. per batch
