Title: Tvp Beef & Noodle Casserole

1lgOnion, diced
3tbButter
1tbMinced garlic
2tbParsley, dried
1tbBasil, dried
1tsThyme, dried
1pnGround pepper
12ozPkg Green Giant Harvest
  Burger TVP
1/2cWater
1 1/2tbOlive oil
6mdOnions, chopped
1 Green bell pepper, chopped
1cnTomato soup, condensed
1cnWater
1/2cSharp cheddar cheese shred
1 Bay leaf
4ozCn mushrooms, chopped
2tbWorchestershire sauce
12ozPgk noodles

Prepare noodles as directed.

In a deep skillet over medium high heat melt the butter. Saute the 1 lg onion. About a minute later stir in the minced garlic, the dried herbs and seasoning. Saute stirring occasionally until onions are translucent about 5 to 8 minutes more. Add the harvest burger and continue to saute stirring regularly for another 5 minutes. Add water and stir well. Continue to heat for about a minute or so until TVP absorbs water. Remove from heat and set aside in separate bowl. Wipe skillet with paper towel.

Return skillet to heat. Add 1 1/2 T olive oil and the 6 chopped onions. Saute the onions for about 5 minutes. Lower heat to a simmer. Add the green pepper, soup, water, cheese, mushrooms and bay leaf. Simmer for about one hour for tastes to blend. Add salt, pepper and worchestershire sauce to taste. Stir well. Mix in the cooked noodles and stir to coat evenly. In a greased casserole dish pour in the mixture. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
