1 | c | Basmati rice |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Pepper |
1 | lb | Peas;or 10-oz frozen; thaw |

Heat 2 tb vegetable stock in a 4-quart saucepan, add the onion, garlic,
and basil. Cook 2 minutes over low heat. Add the rest of the stock, rice,
salt, and pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Stir in the
peas and cook until done, about 5 minutes more.
