1 | c | Firmly packed brown sugar |

1 | ts | Vanilla extract |
1 | c | All-purpose flour |
1/4 | ts | Baking soda |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | c | Semisweet chocolate morsels |
1/2 | c | Chopped pecans |
Cream butter; gradually add brown sugar, beating well at medium speed of an
electric mixer. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.Combine flour, soda, and
salt; add to creamed mixture, and mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and
pecans. Spread mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350
degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 16
brownies.
