Title: Blonde Chocolate Chip Brownies

1/3cButter or margarine, soften
1cFirmly packed brown sugar
1 Egg
1tsVanilla extract
1cAll-purpose flour
1/4tsBaking soda
1/4tsSalt
1/2cSemisweet chocolate morsels
1/2cChopped pecans

Cream butter; gradually add brown sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.Combine flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, and mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and pecans. Spread mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 16 brownies.
