1 1/2 | | Pounds ground beef |
1 | cn | (8 ounces) whole kernel corn Drained |
1 | cn | (4 ounces) chopped green Chilies, drained |
2 | ts | Chili powder |
2 1/3 | c | Variety baking mix |
3 | tb | Margarine or butter, Melted |
1/2 | | Milk |
Mix ground beef, corn, chilies and chili powder. Shape mixture into 6
patties. Place on rack in broiler pan. Set oven control to broil. Broil
with tops 3 to 4 inches from heat 4 minutes on each side.Heat oven to 400
degrees. Mix remaining ingredients until soft dough forms. Beat vigorously
20 strokes. Smooth dough gently into ball on surface dusted with baking
mix. Knead 5 times. Roll 1/8-inch thick. Cut into 12 rounds with floured
4-1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Place beef patties on 6 of the rounds. Top each
with another round. Pinch edges together to seal. Place on ungreased cookie
sheet. Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown. 6 SERVINGS; 540
