Title: Diabetic Apple Crunch

2 | sl | Dry bread; |
1 | tb | Diet margarine; |
1/2 | ts | Cinnamon; |
1/2 | ts | Allspice; |
3 | c | Apples; Cored sliced |
1 | tb | Lemon juice; |
3/4 | c | Dietetic maple syrup |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make crumbs from bread and toast in oven. Mix toasted crumbs with margarine, cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon allspice. Mix apples with lemon juice, maple syrup, and remainder of allspice; spread in a well-greased shallow baking dish ( approximately 8" round). Cover with crumb mixture; bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm. Food Exchange per serving: 1/2 BREAD EXCHANGE + 1/2 FRUIT EXCHANGE; CAL: 65
