Title: Herb Butter/cocktail Spread

Yield: 6 Servings
1/4 | c | Cold butter or margarine, cut in three pieces |
1/4 | c | Fresh parsley leaves, washed and dried well |
2 | sm | Cloves of garlic |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 | 8 oz pkg. cream cheese, cut in pieces |
Cracked peppercorns or chopped nuts if making cheese ball
Process garlic and parsley with metal chopping blade. Drop pieces of butter into food processor. Process. Drop pieces of cream cheese into processor and run about 20 seconds. Season to taste with salt. Shape mixture into a flattened ball. roll into cracked peppercorns or chopped nuts. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and chill for several hours, until firm. Serve with assorted crackers. Note: if you prefer, do not roll in nuts or peppercorns. Just chill in a bowl and serve as a spread rather than a cheese ball.
