2 | lb | Beef, cut in 1 in cubes |
2 | Onions, quartered | |
1 | ts | Black pepper |
1 | ts | Sugar |
2 | cl | Garlic, finely minced |
2 | ts | Oregano |
5 | tb | Olive oil |
4 | tb | Wine vinegar |
Lemon juice | ||
Salt to taste |
Place meat in a Ziplock bag. In a small bowl combine pepper, sugar, garlic and oregano. Add to Ziplock;mix until well coated. Whisk together 4 tablespoons of olive oil and vinegar. Pour into the bag containing meat mixture. Refrigerate overnight.
Brush onions with remaining olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Alternate threading meat and onions on skewer. Cook over charcoals being careful not to overcook. Sprinkle with fresh lemon juice.
