TIDEWATER ON THE HALF SHELL | ||
1 | c | Oatmeal; uncooked |
1 | c | Buttermilk |
1 | c | Light brown sugar |
1 | Egg; slightly beaten | |
1 3/4 | c | Flour |
1 | ts | Baking powder |
1 | ts | Baking soda |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Ground cinnamon |
1/4 | ts | Ground cloves |
1/2 | c | Vegetable oil |
1/2 | c | Raisins |
In lg. bowl, combine oatmeal and buttermilk; let stand for 1 hr. Add brown sugar and egg; mix well. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir into oatmeal mixture. Stir in oil and raisins. Spoon into greased muffin tins, filling 1/2 ful. Bake at 400~ for 15-20 mins.
