Title: Applesauce-Raisin Cookies

1/4 | c | Vegetable Oil |
1/4 | c | Sugar |
1 | Egg | |
1 | ts | Vanilla Extract |
1/2 | c | Unsweetened Applesauce |
1/2 | c | Whole Wheat Flour |
1/2 | c | Unbleached White Flour |
2 | ts | Baking Powder |
1/2 | ts | Baking Soda |
1 | ts | Ground Cinnamon |
1/8 | ts | Ground Cloves |
1/2 | c | Rolled Oats |
1/2 | c | Raisins, dark or golden |
Cream the oil and sugar together. Add the egg and beat until light., Blend in the vanilla and applesauce. Stir the flours, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, oats and raisin into the creamed mixture. Blend well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly-oiled baking sheets. Bake in a 375-degree oven for 10 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
