Title: Buttery Flavor Cookies

1/2 | c | Margarine; softened |
1/2 | c | Sugar |
2 | tb | Sugar |
1 | tb | Butter Buds Sprinkles |
2 | Egg whites | |
1 1/2 | ts | Vanilla extract |
1 | ts | Lemon peel |
1 1/2 | c | All-purpose flour; sifted |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, cream margarine until light and fluffy. Beat in 1/2 cup sugar, Butter Buds Sprinkles, egg whites, vanilla and lemon peel until smooth.
In medium-size bowl, stir together flour and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed until blended. Drop dough by scant teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Dip tines of fork into remaining sugar and press top of each cookie with fork. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Makes 3 l/2 dozen cookies.
