1 | ts | Garlic; chopped |
1 | ts | Savory salt |
1 | | Chicken; cut into serivng pieces |
1/2 | c | Butter |
1 | lg | Onion; chopped |
1 | cn | Sliced mushrooms; drained |
2 | c | Grenadine syrup |
1 | c | Brandy |
2 | tb | Turmeric |
| | Flat noodles |
In a large shaking bag combine the flour, garlic, and slat. Coat each piece
of chicken thoruoughly with the seasoned flour. In a heavy skillet melt the
butter and brown the chicken on both sides. In a deep ovenproof baking dish
place a layer of chicken and half the onions and mushrooms. In a small bowl
combine the grenadine and brandy. Pour half the mixture over the chicken.
Repeat the layers of chicken, onions, mushrooms, and liquid. Bake covered
in a 350~ oven for 1 to 1 1.2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the
liquid. Serve over flat noodles.
