2 | c | Oatmeal |
2 | ts | Salt |
Chunks of Salt Pork or Ham |
Mix all ingred. except meat and form into snowball-size balls. Then press a chunk of meat in center of each ball. Drop them into boiling water or ham broth. Simmer about 45 min. Serve w/ butter. SOURCE: Ellis Island Immigration Cookbook; Norway, 1886.
