1 | lb | Ground Turkey |
2 | lg | Minced onions |
3 | c | Chopped Italian canned tomatoes |
16 | oz | Tomato Sauce |
12 | oz | Tomato Juice |
1 1/2 | ts | Italian Seasoning OR Oregano |
10 | | Fresh Lasagna Noodles |
1 1/2 | c | Uncreamed Low-Fat Cottage cheese |
3/4 | c | Mozzarella Cheese, shredded |
3 | tb | Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs |
Spray a skillet with cooking spray for no fat frying. Spread turkey in
skillet. Brown over high heat until underside is brown. Break into
bite-size chunks and turn over. Brown other side. Add onions, tomatoes,
sauce, juice, and Italian seasoning. Simmer 2 min. Put some of the
tomato-meat sauce in the bottom of a 9" square casserole. Add a single
layer of uncooked noodles, broken to fit. Add more sauce. Add cottage
cheese in a layer. Add remaining noodles and cover with remaining sauce.
Sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese and top with bread crumbs. Double-wrap
with foil and place on a cookie sheet in preheated 350 oven. Bake 1 hr.
Uncover and bake 10-15 min. more. Makes 8 servings 360 calories each.
