| 1 | | Garlic clove, crushed |
| 6 | | Eggs, hardboiled, peeled and |

| 1 | | Apple, cored, chopped |
| 1 | ts | Lemon juice |
| 1 | c | Sour cream |
| 1/4 | ts | Salt |
| 1/4 | ts | Pepper |
| 2 | tb | Dill, fresh, chopped or use parsley |
1. Cut herring into small cubes. Mix herring with onion, eggs, apple, and
lemon juice. 2. Combine sour cream, garlic, salt and pepper; add to herring
mixture and mix well. Sprinkle with dill or parsley. 3. Serve with rye
bread.
