6 | c | Sugar |
1 | lg | Bunch celery |
2 | tb | Salt |
1 | qt | Vinegar |
1 | sm | Tin tomatoe paste |
1/2 | c | Pickling spices (tied in a cheesecloth bag.) |
Chop all vegetables, mix together all remaining ingredients, add and simmer slowly until thick, about 2 hours. Remove pickling spices and discard. Store in sterilized jars.
