2 | c | Bread flour |
2 | c | Whole wheat flour |
1 1/2 | tb | Powdered milk |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 1/2 | tb | Shortening |
2 | tb | Molasses |
1 | c | Water |
1 1/2 | ts | Yeast |
Use dough cycle. Remove dough from machine. Divide the dough into 12 balls,
cover with plastic wrap and rest 20 minutes. Then roll each ball into a 10
inch snake (on floured surface) and shape. Place on greased baking pan,
spray with water and let rise for 30 to 50 minutes. Brush with beaten egg.
Optional: Sprinkle on coarse salt or poppy seeds. Bake in 375~ oven for 15
to 22 minutes.
