Title: Turkey Waldorf Sandwich

2 | tb | Walnut halves or pieces |
1/4 | c | Mayonnaise |
1 | Tart Apple | |
2 | lg | Ribs Celery |
8 | sl | Bread |
12 | oz | Sliced Turkey Breast |
Red Lettuce Leaves (opt) |
Chop the nuts finely by hand or in a food processor or, better still, grate them with a rotary (Mouli) grater. Stir the chopped nuts into the mayonnaise.
Halve and core the apple (do not peel it) and slice it thinly. Slice the celery with long diagonal cuts into the thinnest possible slices.
To assemble each sandwich, spread a slice of bread with walnut mayonnaise and add a layer of celery, a layer of turkey, and a layer of apple. Finish with lettuce, if desires, and a second slice of bread.
