2 | lb | Ground chuck |
1 | | Stick oleo or margarine |
1/2 | c | Flour |
2 | | Carrots, diced |
1 | md | To large onion, diced |
2 | | Celery stalks, diced |
2 | md | Potatoes, diced |
1 | pk | Frozen mixed vegetables |
1 | cn | Tomatoes (15-20 oz.) |
4 | | Beef bouillon cubes |
| | Salt, pepper and garlic salt or garlic to taste |
In dutch oven size pan melt margarine. Add flour and stir until smooth. Add
2 cups water, stir until smooth. Add 3 cups more water, carrots,
celery,potatoes, mixed vegetables, tomatoes, bouillon cubes, salt, pepper
and garlic. In separate pan brown meat and cook onion. Drain. Add to dutch
oven. Simmer 1 1/2 hours. Freezes well.
