Title: Creamy Cabbage

4 | c | Shredded cabbage |
1/2 | c | Diced bacon |
1 | tb | Flour |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Paprika |
1/8 | ts | Pepper |
1 | c | Milk |
1 | c | Soft bread crumbs |
In a large saucepan, cook cabbage for 7 minutes in boiling water. Drain. In
a skillet, cook bacon. Remove bacon and all but 1 tb drippings. Add flour,
salt, paprika and pepper to drippings. Gradually add milk. Simmer and stir
until thickened. Place cabbage in a 1 quart casserole. Top with sauce.
Sprinkle bread crumbs and bacon over the top. Bake at 400øF for 15 minutes.
