1 | c | Maple syrup |
1 | c | Ketchup |
1 | c | Onion; finely chopped |
1/4 | c | Firmly packed brown sugar |
1/4 | c | Apple cider vinegar |
1/4 | c | Lemon juice |
1/4 | c | Water |
2 | tb | Olive oil |
2 | tb | Worcestershire sauce |
2 | ts | Garlic; finely chopped |
2 | ts | Lemon rind; grated |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Hot sauce |
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and
simmer 20 minutes. Cool. Pour mixture into container of a blender; process
until smooth. Remove 1 cup sauce, and brush over [the article is about
chicken] the last 30 minutes of cooking time. Serve chicken with remaining
sauce. Refrigerate sauce up to 1 month. Yield: 3-1/2 cups
