Title: Apple Roll

1 1/2 | c | Sugar |
2 | c | Flour |
1 | pn | Salt |
2 | tb | Shortening |
1/2 | c | Milk |
2 | ts | Baking powder |
2 | tb | Sugar |
Apples; chopped | ||
Additional sugar | ||
Butter | ||
Cinnamon |
Mix together flour,salt,shortening, milk, baking powder and 2 tbls sugar. Roll dough an inch thick, spread with chopped apples. Roll up and cut into 1 1/2-inch slices. Combine sugar and 2 cups water in a pan and heat to boiling. Place rolls in baking pan of hot syrup. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and butter and bake in moderate oven until brown. *Note- I sure thought this one was different and worth formatting.
