1/2 | c | Shortening |
2 | Eggs | |
2 | c | Flour |
1/2 | ts | Soda |
1 | ts | Baking powder |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 | c | Sour milk |
1 | c | Ground up raisins |
1 | Orange and rind, ground | |
1/2 | c | Sugar |
Mix in order given, save juice of orange for glaze topping. Bake cake at 350 degrees F. for 35 to 40 minutes.
Glaze: Add 1/2 cup sugar to orange juice-when cake is done, pour over cake and bake until it forms a sugar crust.
