Title: Christine's Hot Chili

1 | lb | Ground beef |
1 | lg | Onion -- chopped |
2 | Cloves garlic -- crushed | |
1 | tb | Chili powder |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 | ts | Ground cumin |
1 | ts | Dried oregeno |
1 | ts | Cocoa |
1/2 | ts | Red pepper sauce |
1 | cn | Crushed tomatoes (16oz) |
1 | cn | Red kidney beans |
1 | (15 1/2 oz) optional |
This is the best recipe I've tried. Spices are for a milder chili. I happen to like mine very hot, so I double the spices. Cook beef, onion and garlic in 3 qt saucepan & drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except beans. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Stir in beans. Heat to boiling. Simmer uncovered 20 minute. To serve, top with shredded cheddar cheese and enjoy. Hope you like it as much as we do.
