2 | cn | Red kidney beans, drained |
1 | tb | Chili powder |
2 | ts | Ground cumin |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Cayenne pepper |

Good chili is a year-round must for busy families. Freeze a batch for an easy meal on an active weeknight.
Cook sausage, ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic in large soup pot or Dutch oven until meat is borwned and vegetables tender; drain. Stir in tomatoes, beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, cayenne pepper and water. Cover and simmer about 1 hour.
